- Abstract
This lecture revises our current understanding of job markets by looking at unmarried people. By analyzing marriage bars and temporary jobs, I will show how marriage has been a dividing line in many professions (nursing, teaching). If this lecture is mainly focused on the United States, I will look at other countries, especially France and Japan.
